For Receivers

Someone sent you a verify link.

Here is what it is, what it is not, and what it costs, before your office has to decide whether to act on it. No forms to redesign and no intake to rebuild.

Verifying a single link is free, forever. No account required. Money only enters the conversation if your office wants a hosted verification service: verifying at volume through the API, keeping the verification log in your own system, or integrating with your ATS or SIS. Ask us and we will scope it with you. The record is free for the learner, forever.

New in July 2026: family-issued records carry an Ed25519 signature from that family's own records-office key. Your browser checks the signature against the family's public key and the record's inclusion in a public, append-only transparency log, the math answers, not our word. No portal, no phone call, no account. The protocol is published at /spec, including a reference verifier that never contacts our servers.

Who verifies through Eformogi

Six kinds of office. Each one verifies a learner-owned record the family already wrote, sealed, and sent.

Colleges & conservatories

Common App readers, registrars handling transfer credit, conservatory and art-school admissions offices.

Funder: Admissions operations budget.

Verifies: Transcripts, course rows, work samples, teacher / counselor cosignatures.

Scholarships & foundations

National scholarship programs, community foundations, and the platforms that read for them.

Funder: Foundation or scholarship platform.

Verifies: Transcripts plus work-sample receipts and witnessed essays.

Employers & apprenticeships

Pre-employment background checks, building-trades unions, DOL Registered Apprenticeship sponsors, early-career talent teams.

Funder: The employer, sometimes with WIOA Title I match.

Verifies: Job-kind receipts, supervisor cosignatures, course rows for required credentials.

Next schools

K-12 transfer registrars at the receiving school. Donor-paid option available for high-mobility families.

Funder: The receiving school, or, when budget is short, McKinney-Vento liaisons, Title-I coordinators, refugee resettlement agencies, or aligned philanthropies.

Verifies: Prior-school course rows, attendance proxies via timeline entries, IEP / 504 history.

Licensing & clearance

State licensing boards (CPA, bar, nursing, real-estate), OPM / DCSA security-clearance investigators, DoD prime-contractor security teams.

Funder: The licensing board or the federal government.

Verifies: School history back to age 10, residency timeline, supervisor / mentor relationships, re-verified on a 5- and 10-year cycle.

Insurance & visa

Life and disability underwriters who need education verification, F-1 / J-1 / H-1B / student-visa caseworkers, refugee-resettlement agencies.

Funder: The carrier (insurance) or the petitioner / federal program (visa).

Verifies: Education and residency continuity, re-verified at every major life event.

And: background-check platforms, honors and recognition organizations, standardized-testing accommodations verifiers, and public-benefits eligibility liaisons.

Organizations are named as examples of the kind of office that verifies. None of them are affiliated with Eformogi, and naming one is not a claim that it accepts any particular record.

Published receiver policies we have read, including named colleges and an insurer, are mapped at the receiver directory.

How verification works

1

A family or student sent you a link

tr_ for a Witness Transcript™, ws_ for a work sample, wn_ for a weekly note, wl_ for a curated wall.

2

Click it

You see the claim, the SHA-256 hash, and any cosignatures from teachers, coaches, mentors, or supervisors.

3

That's it

No login. No subscription. No upsell. The verify page tells you what was sealed and whether the bytes still match.

What "verified" means here, in plain English →

When you pay

Verifying a single link is free, forever. Three things can cost a receiver money, and all three are part of one hosted verification service we scope and quote with your office.

Verification at volume

When an agent or platform calls /api/verify-receipt beyond single links and evaluation keys, we scope a hosted verification service with you.

Audit records in your own system

When you need the verification log persisted where your office keeps its records, on your own retention schedule.

Custom integration

SSO (SAML / OIDC), SIS or ATS export, dedicated support, custom data-retention policies.

Donor-paid verification

Some families can't ask their next school, their scholarship office, or their visa caseworker to absorb the cost of verification.

McKinney-Vento liaisons, Title-I coordinators, refugee resettlement agencies, and aligned philanthropies can fund verification on the family's behalf.

The family never sees the bill. The receiving institution never sees the bill. The funder pays so the records move.

Where this record came from

The family wrote it as the years happened. They sealed it. Teachers, coaches, and mentors who were there cosigned the rows they could vouch for. They chased the forms, the paperwork, the intake fields, and the deadlines for years before you ever saw any of it. Then they sent you one link.

The record is free for the learner, forever. Schools, microschools, and counselors who issue on it pay per learner per year, and a founding issuer keeps that price for as long as it issues. Your office pays nothing to open a link, and only talks to us about money if it wants a hosted verification service at volume.

If your organization is on the other side of this and holds learners of its own, you can issue on the record instead of receiving it: start as a founding issuer.
