The pain

Your kid's school doesn't teach in periods, doesn't grade in A–F, and doesn't produce a transcript a receiver recognizes. The school may be brilliant at the actual learning and uninterested in the paperwork, because the paperwork was designed for a different system.

When a college, employer, agency, or program asks for records, the school produces a narrative, a portfolio, a competency rubric, or a Portrait. The receiver tries to translate it back into credit hours. Something gets lost in translation. The kid pays for the friction.
